Values

Spiritual Adventure

We believe life is not meant to be "simply lived."  God calls us to a spiritual journey, discovering Jesus and living out our faith as we pursue God’s purpose for our lives.  Here people are welcome to be on a spiritual journey.

Authentic Expression

We believe authentic spiritual expression is culturally relevant, creative, engaging, and promotes passionate spirituality.  We believe God calls us to be authentic in learning about God, expression toward God, and reaching outward to others (Matthew 22:36-40).

Meaningful Community

Every spiritual gift, personal and Godly character, and even sacrifice are meaningless without love (Matthew 22:36-40, I Corinthians 13).  Biblical community was founded in the early church as one of the primary means by which to challenge each other, come to know each other better, grow in our faith together, worship God, and exercise our spiritual gifts (Acts 2:44-47).  We ask all our people to commit to a regular small group, as one of the most effective means to participate in biblical community, which involves Bible study, prayer, fellowship, accountability, and service.

Accepting of People

We clearly communicate our most basic unifying beliefs, but also recognize that those seeking spiritual insight come with varying perspectives.  All are welcome to “Come as you are”, ask questions, and investigate.  We recognize that those who seek God will find him, if we seek honestly and passionately (Matthew 7:7-8).

Children and Families

We value children, which represent the heart of God and the future (Matthew 19:14).  We also value families (Genesis 2:24).  We recognize that many families have problems, and when the family is broken, the repercussions can be extensive.  We strive to support fathers, mothers, children, single parents, blended families, singles, married couples, and unmarried couples.  We also welcome everyone to participate collectively as a spiritual family of faith, and as such, support our spiritual family who are struggling in life or searching in faith.

Mobilized Faith

God clearly values all people and has freely given every one of us unique spiritual gifts, passions, talents, and resources.  We believe God calls each of us to use what he has freely given us to engage the world around us (Ephesians 4:11-13).  We thus assist all individuals in identifying our God given gifts, passions, talents, and resources.  Empowering leadership will help provide opportunities to apply these attributes for God and others, as God leads.

Local and Worldwide Impact

We feel that reaching out and caring for others must always be a priority.  We seek to impact our children, our local community, the disadvantaged in our city, and the impoverished from distant lands.  We desire to reach out and love people as Jesus calls for us to do, in order to have maximum positive impact on those both inside and outside our local church.

Faithful Dedication to our Vision

Work hard, as if for the Lord (Colossians 3:23).  We pursue excellence in all we do, whether in church, community, or work.  All structures in church facilitate our mission, values, and vision.

General Comments about our Values and Vision

We believe God has prepared us and instilled these initial values.  However, we also anticipate that as our church is developed, and as we continue to follow, that people of faith will continue to improve upon our initial values and vision.
