Spiritual Adventure
We believe life is not meant to be "simply lived." God calls us to a spiritual journey, discovering Jesus and living out our faith as we pursue God’s purpose for our lives. All are welcome to join us in this journey (John 10:10)
Meaningful Community
Biblical community was founded in the early church as one of the primary means by which to challenge each other, come to know each other better, grow in our faith together, worship God, and exercise our faith (Acts 2:44-47). We ask all our people to commit to a small group, as one of the most effective means to explore, ask questions, do life together and learn about Jesus.
Gathering Together
As a meaningful, biblical community, we also recognize the benefits and necessity of coming together as a large group. There is a 3-fold purpose of gathering together: inspiration, motivation, and worship of God our creator (Hebrews 10:24-26; Acts 2:42; Psalm 5:7)
Local and Worldwide Impact
We believe God calls each of us to use what he has freely given us to engage the world around us (Ephesians 4:11-13). We feel that reaching out and caring for others must always be a priority. We seek to impact our children, our local community, the disadvantaged in our city, and the impoverished from distant lands. We desire to reach out and love people as Jesus calls for us to do, in order to have maximum positive impact on those both inside and outside our local church.
Vision
Long Term Vision:
Our vision is based on God’s leadership and His desires for south Denver. We have chosen these three mechanisms for accomplishing His vision:
1. Small groups (Crash groups)
2. Large group weekend gatherings
3. Giving back (local and global service opportunities)
We envision becoming a church of small groups where we model biblical community: a safe place where we give and receive, accept one another and are accepted, love and are loved, encourage and are encouraged, forgive and are forgiven, serve and are served, challenge and are challenged.
We envision worship that is all-encompassing, culturally relevant and drives passionate participation in individual and shared praise of God, as well as in service to others.
We envision helping people discover their specific designs so that they are equipped to serve effectively in some ministry, both within and outside the Church. Our goal is that everyone will exercise their God-given gifts and passions for ministry to others.
We envision welcoming numerous members into our body who are excited about Jesus, experiencing healing in their relationships, and growing together in love.
We envision planting a new church, or a “Crash site” every three years.
In short, our vision is this:
To impact south Denver, and the world, through meaningful small groups, large group gatherings, and service to our community which will spread the message of Jesus Christ to the unchurched and spiritually disconnected.
